Dear Ginninderra Athletics Community,
This is a reminder that our AGM and presentation is this Saturday 29th March at 9.30am in the grass area beside John Knight Park, near the exercise equipment, in Belconnen. See attached map. There may be additional parking available in the Aikman Drive Carpark of Lake Ginninderra College.
The AGM will be followed by presentation. There are medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and most improved for each age group at Saturday morning meets, as well as most improved. There are participation medals for all for all athletes that do not receive other age group awards, including members who don’t participate on Saturday mornings. There are also special medals for Tiny Tots. There are a number of special club awards including the addition of further awards to acknowledge performances outside of our Saturday morning meets. There will be a large number of barrel prizes for members and face painting by the Gecko Gang which will commence at 9.30 to occupy the little ones during the AGM. There will also be a BBQ with free sausage sandwiches for all members, gold coin donation for families which will be donated to charity.
All committee positions will be spilled at the AGM. Please indicate (email cub president) if you are planning to nominate for an executive position, as we have at least one nomination for President, Vice President, Registrar and Secretary. Also email if you would like more information. We do need to fill additional general committee positions due to some members finishing up, plus we can always benefit from fresh ideas and additional people keen to shape the future of our club.
