This week’s meet at Charnwood Playing Fields- Saturday 8 February
This week’s set up roster is U8 from 7.30am. Please assist if you can to ensure that we are ready to start on time. Reply to this email if you can assist.

Start times- 8.45am for Tiny Tots, u6-u9 and Junior Coaches
10am for U10 and up including 18+ and community.
Club Training at Charnwood Playing Fields
Brian’s bunch, with Brian Daly, meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 4.30 to 5.30pm. This squad focusses on distance training.
Wednesday from 4-5pm with coach Steve Dodt mostly focusing on Hurdles, Sprints and Throws
Thursday club training 5-6pm with Gary and Geoff. This session focuses on both track and field and cycles through the different events. We are very keen to support athletes to improve on events that they are competing in at the upcoming ACT championships.
Woden Thunder Carnival 2 February
Well done to the Ginninderra Athletes who competed at the Woden Thunder Carnival.
Highlights included wins in the 100m by Aisha Shave, Olivia Jose and Tobi Drummond- Templeton. They all competed in the gift from the back or near the back on the field. Another highlight was 3 out of 3 PBs by Spencer Dacey.
Here is a summary of individual results.
Lars Sagar U10- 7th in 100m, 5th in 200m PB, 2nd in 800m PB of 2:51.80, High Jump-2nd.
Thivain Hasvin Ariyadasa U11- 4th in 100m, 5th in 80mH, 6th in High Jump, 5th in 400m PB, 2nd in 1500m, 4th in Triple Jump.
Spencer Dacey U11- 2nd in shot put, 1st in discus, 3rd in Javelin, all PBs.
Kyran Rolfe U12- equal 3rd in shot put, 2nd in discus, 4th in Javelin PB.
Olivia Jose U14- 1st in 100m in 13.08. 6th in Woden Gift.
Aisha Shave U17 – 1st in 100m and 200m. 5th in Woden Gift.
Tobi Drummond -Templeton U17- 1st in 100m and 200m. 4th in Woden Gift.
Cody Blackman-Allen u17- 1st in Shot Put
