The High-Tech Club: Smarter Training, Faster Racing

Ginninderra Athletics - Ginninderry

At Ginninderra Athletics Club, we love our stripes—and our stats. We use modern technology to make every sprint, run, jump and hurdle count. Our sessions feature electronic timing gates that capture accurate, real-time times so athletes can track progress, spot trends, and refine technique with confidence. It’s innovation with a purpose: better feedback, sharper execution, and a genuine competitive edge on meet day.

Timing that works as hard as you do

Our wireless Timing Solutions gates are built for busy club life:

  • Lightweight, low-profile, quick to set up—perfect for training blocks and meet rotations.
  • Any surface, tough conditions—rated to withstand winds up to 70 km/h.
  • Run more races with fewer hands—streamlined workflows mean less manual officiating.
  • Instant results to laptop—save straight to our devices, then export to Excel or upload to ResultsHQ for season-long tracking.

What that means for athletes:

  • Consistent, reliable splits and finish times for targeted training.
  • Clear progress markers across sessions and events.
  • Data-driven coaching cues to tighten technique and maximise speed.

Call for Help: Be Part of Our Tech Backbone

If you’re tech-savvy and enjoy working behind the scenes, we’d love your help keeping the club laptops and timing setup humming.

What you’d do

  • Configure laptops for the timing system (pair devices, test gates, set race profiles).
  • Keep software up-to-date and secure (updates, backups, basic troubleshooting).
  • Pre-meet checks so everything’s ready to fire when the first race is called.

Great fit if you

  • Are comfortable with laptops/devices, basic settings, and a few handy shortcuts.
  • Can spare a little time before training/meets (even 30–60 minutes helps).
  • Enjoy making events run smoothly for athletes and officials.

We’ll support you

  • Simple checklists and a quick run-through of the system.
  • A buddy to shadow on your first setup.
  • Clear points of contact if anything goes sideways.
